Wizz Air to fly four times a week on the Budapest - Istanbul route, and daily from March 2014
2013-08-05— /travelprnews.com/ — The first scheduled flight of Wizz Air to Istanbul took off. The airline will fly between Budapest and Istanbul four times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and Wizz Air is planning to fly daily from March 2014 onwards. The new flight is the latest new route to be announced by the fast growing Wizz Air.
With the exception of Sunday, the new flight takes off from Budapest at 9:45 a.m. and lands in Istanbul at 12:40 local time. On its way back, it departs at 13:10 and arrives in Budapest 14:10 local time. On Sundays only, it operates around 90 minutes later. This schedule is convenient for both business travelers and tourists. The vibrant development of the Turkish economy makes Istanbul a natural destination for business travelers, whilst masses of tourists from all over the world visit the sights of the historic town on the Bosporus.
“It’s very good news both for us and for passengers that this new flight was added to the Budapest-Istanbul route by Wizz Air”, said Kam Jandu, Director Aviation of Budapest Airport. He added, “We are certain that the flight will be a success, offering passengers another airport choice to fly to in Istanbul complementing the existing services of Turkish Airlines who also increased their capacity in the last two years.”
