New Delhi, 2018-Mar-15 — /Travel PR News/ — Vistara, India’s finest full-service carrier, released ‘Airborne’ – a first-of-its kind comic book designed to educate and sensitize its ‘Young Stars’ or young travellers to the nuances of air travel. In a fun and interactive way, Vistara’s ‘Airborne’ explains how things work from the moment one books a ticket to exiting the airport terminal after a flight, covering all customer touchpoints. It addresses many questions that curious air travellers usually have about flying as well as airport and airline operations in an uncomplicated manner, thereby drawing interest of adults as well. In addition, ‘Airborne’ touches upon good cabin courtesy and includes tips for one to have a pleasant flying experience.
Through appealing illustrations, storytelling and the usage of easy language, ‘Airborne’ makes for the perfect read for inquisitive young minds. It also serves as an engaging inflight entertainment medium for children and teenagers, helping Vistara generate greater interest among them about the aviation industry in their growing up years. ‘Airborne’ is being given to Vistara’s young travelers at the check in counters and to the children of Salaam Baalak Trust, Vistara’s NGO partner.
Ms. Rashmi Soni, VP & Head – Corporate Communications & CSR, Vistara said, “Airborne is our sincere effort at engaging with children and our young flyers in an interesting and meaningful way. Impressions formed early on in life last forever, and with ‘Airborne’, we aim to catch their imaginations and fuel their fascination for air travel by getting them acquainted to its many aspects. Needless to say, this will also help our future generation become more considerate flyers.”
“We’re delighted to also present ‘Airborne’ to the children of Salaam Baalak Trust, who have been part of Vistara’s journey from the day we operated our first-ever flight. The children have an infectious enthusiasm for learning, and it is truly our privilege to bring to them a unique way of learning about air travel”, Ms. Soni added.
Last year, Vistara introduced its ‘YoungStar’ program for children travelling alone unaccompanied minors (children aged between 5 and 12), who are looked after and provided with special care throughout their journey. Under this program, children are escorted by airline staff throughout the entire process at airports, while the airline’s cabin crew carefully looks after them when onboard. Vistara also ensures to keep the parents/guardian(s) of its young flyers continuously updated about the child’s well-being on crossing key points at the airport.
Vistara has raised the bar several notches higher in the Indian aviation industry with its attention to detail, intuitively thoughtful service, and commitment to superior experience for travellers at all touchpoints. In a short span of three years, Vistara has expanded its network to 22 destinations with over 700 flights a week, operated by a fleet of 19 Airbus A320 aircraft, having flown more than 8 million happy customers already.
