The Hershey Story Museum Rocks Around the Clock on New Year’s Eve

Hershey, Pa. – 2012-12-13 — /travelprnews.com/ —In anticipation of the new year, The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue hosts a “Rock Around the Clock” celebration on Monday, December 31.

Guests are invited to count down to the new year with different countries around the globe. At 11 a.m., celebrate midnight in the Philippines; at 2 p.m. midnight in Russia and at 4 p.m. midnight in Madagascar. At all three times, young visitors can count down to a Bubble Wrap Stomp and dance with a Hershey’s Product Character on the museum’s patio. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can also make their own hat to wear during the New Year’s festivities. These activities are free.

Included with Museum Experience admission, guests can search for signs of the new year on a scavenger hunt in the exhibit gallery that ends with a sweet reward.

Kids can also follow the elf footprints to the Little Elves’ Workshop from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and use chocolate clay, icing and ribbon to fashion a unique ornament. The cost for this activity is $5 per ornament.

The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on December 31 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 1, 2013. For additional information, hours and ticketing, visit www.HersheyStory.org.
