Star Alliance offers two Round the World tickets for a good cause

FRANKFURT, GERMANY, 2016-Oct-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Each nominee was put forward by one of the travel bloggers who recently completed their own Round the World trip with Star Alliance. With a brief to select an individual or charity “deserving” of a Round the World trip, the bloggers researched and ultimately proposed individuals who have personally impressed them, and could equally serve as a source of inspiration to others.

Food-loving video blogger Mark Wiens from @migrationology travelled the globe tasting diverse culinary delights, and has now nominated Dwight Turner for his work with underprivileged children in Bangkok through the @thecourageouskitchen (http://courageouskitchen.org/) charity.

Moving from food to wine, luxury travel guru Scott Eddy (@MrScottEddy) flew around the world tasting wines on six continents. He has chosen Tracy Hitchcock and Nate Walsh for their work empowering refugees and others through their “Create Common Good” (http://createcommongood.org/) charity.

Travel bloggers Megan and Mike from @mappingmegan have just completed a Romantic Round the World journey and would like to send Drew Evensen around the globe in memory of his beloved wife and fellow travel blogger Kimmy Hayes (http://afterglobe.net/about-us/).

For his part, diver Justin Carmack from @truenomads, who flew around the world capturing underwater views from the best dive sites, has nominated Dr. Rachel Graham for her work conserving and protecting threatened marine life at MarAlliance (http://maralliance.org/).

The founder of @coolhunting – whose editor Karen Day recently returned from an inspirational Gap Year tour – has put forward Susan Easton and her work with global artisans #FROMTHEROAD (http://fromtheroad.com/).

Blogger Oneika Raymond from @Oneikathetraveller recently completed a whirlwind World Wonders trip and is nominating Masonia Traylor (http://www.masoniatraylor.com/lady-burgandy) for her inspirational work with women and girls suffering from HIV & AIDS.

Each blogger has created a short video to introduce their candidate. These can be viewed at www.facebook.com/ staralliance/videos, with additional information on each candidate available at www.staralliance.com.

Casting your vote for your favourite candidates is easy. Just go to the Star Alliance Facebook page www.facebook.com/staralliance and interact with the post(s) on your preferred nominee by latest October 31st, 2016.
