Marriott International on Hurricane Matthew: Our hotels in Jamaica, Haiti, and Cuba have reported no direct impact from the storm

Bethesda, Md., 2016-Oct-10 — /Travel PR News/ —  Marriott International, Inc. is closely monitoring the track of Hurricane Matthew and the potential impact on our hotels in its path.  We have established hurricane plans and our hotel teams are well-versed in implementing these plans.  In addition, we are in close contact with local authorities and, as always, will take guidance and direction from them if the situation warrants. The safety and security of our guests and associates is always a top priority at Marriott.

There have been no reports of guest or associate injuries. While we are still assessing the full extent of impact on each hotel, early reports indicate relatively minor damage.

Our hotels in the Caribbean have reported no direct impact from the storm and are open and accepting reservations.
