2012-08-10 — /travelprnews.com/ — Stapleford Park Luxury Country House Hotel hosted an exclusive Private Air Show and Dinner with the Red Arrows on Monday 23rd July.
The Red Arrows took to the skies over Stapleford Park on Monday evening with their trademark red, white and blue vapour trails. The private event was in aid of the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA), a charity that provides support to the RAF service personnel and their families. Over £10,000 was successfully raised on the day for the RAFA.
The air show also included displays from The Blades, a fleet of ex-Red Arrow pilots, a Spitfire fly past from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, plus displays from the UK’s top stunt pilots, Dennis Kenyon and Brendan O’Brien, flying a helicopter and a J3 Cub plane. After the display, guests were privileged to drinks and a Black Tie dinner with all the pilots in The Grand Hall.
“I should like to take this opportunity to thank Shuif Hussain of Stapleford Park for supporting this evening and Eric Ward, Marketing Consultant to the Red Arrows for 30 years, for organising the event; and of course to the pilots for agreeing to entertain guests in return for support of RAFA.” commented Simon Jacot de Boinod, host of the event.
