Spirit Airlines Starts New Service Between Chicago and Houston

CHICAGO, 2012-10-8 — /travelprnews.com/ — Today, Spirit Airlines launched new daily nonstop service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Houston/Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The daily flights will depart from Chicago O’Hare at 8:35 p.m. and arrive to Houston at 11:19 p.m. The flight from Houston will depart each day at 6:15 a.m. and arrive in Chicago at 8:52 a.m. The flight schedule times will change on November 8 to departure from O’Hare at 7:05 a.m., arriving in Houston at 9:42 a.m.; and departure from Houston at 7:10 p.m., arriving in Chicago at 9:42 p.m.

“On behalf of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, we’re pleased that Spirit Airlines’ continues to add service at Chicago’s global gateway – O’Hare International Airport,” said Rosemarie S. Andolino, Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA). “The low-fare service to Houston from Chicago is great news for travelers.”

With the addition of Houston, Spirit now offers nonstop service from Chicago O’Hare to 17 cities. The destinations are Atlantic City (seasonal); Boston (seasonal); Dallas/Ft. Worth; Denver; Detroit; Fort Lauderdale; Fort Myers (seasonal); Houston; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Minneapolis/St. Paul; Myrtle Beach (seasonal); New York/LaGuardia; Orlando; Phoenix/Mesa (seasonal) and Tampa (seasonal).

Spirit Airlines has operated from Terminal 3 at O’Hare since October 2000.
