SAN JOSE, CA, 2013-03-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — Spring Break is generating increased passenger traffic at Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC). Silicon Valley Airport and its airlines advise travelers to plan ahead and check in early to prevent delays during this busy travel holiday period.
Passenger traffic is on the rebound at SJC due to increased volume for Spring Break travel and current and planned increased service by existing and new airlines. Travelers should plan on getting to their airline’s check-in counter in the terminal at least 90 minutes before domestic departures and two hours prior for Hawaii and international departures, especially during peak periods. Holiday peak times are generally in the mornings from 5:00 to 9:00 a.m. and evenings from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
At SJC, Alaska Airlines recently increased service to both Cabo San Lucas and Guadalajarain Mexico, and additional flights to Los Angeles will be offered in 2013 by new carrier Virgin Americaon May 1 and Delta Air Lines on June 10.
