Sarah Linley joins the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau as the new Associate Director Destination Services

2013-03-08 — /travelprnews.com/ —  Sarah Linley, CMP, CTA, joins the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau (SACVB) as the new Associate Director Destination Services. She will assist in managing the Destination Service Team, provide support to high-profile meetings and events and serve as liaison to other City Departments and hospitality partners.

Sarah has a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Michigan State University and has studied Interior Design at William Rainey Harper College. A member of the National Association of Catering Executives since 2007, she was recognized by the organization’s Alamo chapter as “Caterer of the Year” in 2009 and received their “Rising Star” award in 2008. Additionally, Sarah was noted by the SACVB as “Service Manager of the Year” in 2011 and was a 2006 nominee for the San Antonio Hotel & Lodging Association “Manager of the Year.”

Sarah joins the SACVB from Hotel Valencia Riverwalk where she was a Conference Service Manager for over seven years.  Prior to moving to Texas from Illinois, Sarah started her career in hospitality at the Hilton Chicago (formerly known as Chicago Hilton & Towers) as a Towers Representative and worked as Director of Conference Operations at the Willow Creek Association in Barrington, Illinois.
