RCI presented the ARDA International Foundation with donation of $50,000 USD to support industry research and education programs

HOLLYWOOD, FLA., 2016-May-04 — /Travel PR News/ — RCI presented the ARDA International Foundation (AIF) with a donation of $50,000 USD on May 3, 2016, during ARDA World 2016 in Hollywood, Florida. AIF is a nonprofit organization led by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) that serves to advance knowledge of the industry through its comprehensive market intelligence and enrich careers through education.

“The work of the AIF continues to have a positive impact on the entire timeshare industry,” says Gordon Gurnik, president of RCI. “Supporting the organization’s efforts to provide valuable research and education programs to our business is a top priority for RCI. We are proud to back AIF’s ongoing initiatives through this donation.”

RCI presented the donation to the AIF at the opening General Session of ARDA World 2016. As the global leader in vacation exchange, RCI has been a long-time advocate of the AIF and continuously encourages efforts that help develop and promote the timeshare industry.

In addition to the donation today, RCI contributed an additional $50,000 USD toward ARDA’s 2016 World Wide Shared Vacation Ownership study. This study includes updates on key metrics and captures the economic impact of the industry from a global perspective.

“The key mission of the AIF is to provide both the financial markets and the resort development communities with the necessary market intelligence and sound research to better understand and compete within the world of vacation ownership,” said Howard Nusbaum, ARDA president and CEO. “RCI’s generosity allows us to better meet these goals.”

Established in 1982 to fulfill the research needs of the industry, AIF has grown to provide a multitude of services to vacation ownership professionals. These initiatives include research and market intelligence, professional education and certification and scholarship programs.
