Qatar Airways Group Launches Annual Safety Awareness Event with Key Partnerships and Interactive Activities

(IN SHORT) Qatar Airways Group launched its annual safety and security awareness event at The Plaza Doha, focusing on reinforcing the culture of safety across its operations. The event, themed “It Begins With You and Continues With Me,” was attended by key partners such as the Ministry of Interior, Mowasalat (Karwa), and Hamad Medical Corporation. Interactive activities, including exhibitions, quizzes, and live demonstrations, are being held to promote safety and security practices. Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Risk Officer, Mr. Ashish Jain, highlighted the group’s ongoing efforts to innovate in safety. The event also showcased the Ministry’s departments, Karwa Academy’s traffic safety initiatives, and Hamad Medical’s health campaigns.

(PRESS RELEASE) Doha, Qatar, 2025-Jan-14 — /Travel PR News/ — Qatar Airways Group has officially launched its annual safety and security awareness event aimed at reinforcing the company’s culture of safety across all aspects of its operations. The event, which kicked off today at The Plaza Doha, carries the theme “It Begins With You and Continues With Me” and was introduced by Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.

In partnership with key organizations across Qatar, such as the Ministry of Interior, Mowasalat (Karwa), and Hamad Medical Corporation, the event has garnered support from various divisions, subsidiaries, and partners within the Qatar Airways Group, including Qatar Aviation Services, Qatar Aircraft Catering Company, Qatar Duty Free, Discover Qatar, Hamad International Airport, and Oryx International School.

In his opening address, Engr. Al-Meer expressed his appreciation for the involvement of Qatar Airways Group employees and the partner organizations. “Collaboration is key to promoting sustainable safety and security. Today’s collective effort reflects our nation’s shared vision and commitment to providing a secure and safe air transport network,” he said.

The event features a variety of interactive activities, including exhibition booths, quizzes, live demonstrations, team competitions, and recognition awards. These activities will be available to attendees daily from 11 am to 3 pm on January 12, and from 8 am to 2 pm on January 13 and 14.

Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Risk Officer, Mr. Ashish Jain, emphasized the group’s commitment to continuous innovation in safety and security. “At Qatar Airways Group, we are always looking for new ways to enhance safety and security,” he said. “The collaboration between our divisions, subsidiaries, external partners, and organizations has been vital in making this event a success.”

Among the various booths, the Ministry of Interior’s display focuses on its key areas, including the General Directorate of Civil Defence, Drug Enforcement, and Traffic, while Karwa Academy, a Mowasalat entity, presents traffic safety initiatives. Additionally, Hamad Medical Corporation showcases its Kulluna Healthy Heart campaign, a major public health initiative.

Qatar Airways, named the Skytrax 2024 World’s Best Airline, continues to serve over 170 destinations worldwide from its award-winning Hamad International Airport.
