(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK, NY, 2026-Mar-2 — /Travel PR News/ — Preferred Travel Group is marking International Women’s Day 2026 with a global initiative running from March 2 to March 8 that focuses on supporting women and women-centered organizations through community engagement. The program reflects this year’s International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain, highlighting the importance of collaboration and generosity in creating positive social impact.

As part of the initiative, associates across Preferred Travel Group’s global offices are participating in activities that support local charities, shelters, and nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping women. The effort is organized through the company’s GIFTTS program—Great Initiatives for Today’s Tomorrow’s Society—which encourages both employees and member hotels to participate in charitable activities within their communities. Established by the Ueberroth family, the program promotes philanthropic engagement at both local and global levels through volunteer work, donation drives, and other community-based activities.

Preferred Travel Group teams in multiple regions are organizing locally focused activities designed to support women and families in need. In Newport Beach, California, associates are collaborating with Laura’s House in Costa Mesa by hosting an internal collection drive for clothing, household goods, books, and toys to assist individuals and families affected by domestic violence.

In New York, employees are supporting The Bowery Mission by preparing personal care packages for women experiencing homelessness or financial hardship. The kits will include hygiene items and other essentials intended to provide practical assistance.

Associates in Milan are volunteering with Opera San Francesco, a charitable organization that provides assistance to individuals facing poverty and homelessness. Volunteers will participate in meal service activities, helping distribute food during lunchtime programs.

The Singapore office will assist New2U Thriftshop, operated by the Singapore Council of Women’s Organizations, by volunteering in the shop on March 8. Revenue generated through the shop contributes to SCWO initiatives, including Star Shelter, which provides support to survivors of domestic abuse.

In Tokyo, Preferred Travel Group associates are working with the National Women’s Shelter Network, an organization connecting dozens of shelters across Japan and internationally. The team will contribute financial support to provide essential supplies selected by the organization for women and children affected by violence.

Lindsey Ueberroth, Chief Executive Officer of Preferred Travel Group, said the initiative reflects the company’s belief that collective action can create meaningful impact beyond a single event. She noted that supporting women in local communities strengthens both charitable organizations and the sense of shared purpose among employees worldwide.

Through the Give to Gain initiative, Preferred Travel Group aims to demonstrate how coordinated charitable efforts across multiple regions can contribute to long-term support for women and their communities.
