(PRESS RELEASE) VANCOUVER, 2025-May-30 — /Travel PR News/ —Seoul, South Korea, continues to solidify its status as a premier global travel destination, known for its vibrant culture, cutting-edge technology, delicious cuisine, and musical phenomena like BLACKPINK and BTS. With five UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the renowned Bukhansan National Park—holder of the Guinness World Record for the most-visited national park per unit area—Seoul offers an unforgettable experience for travelers. Now, it’s even easier for Canadians to experience the city’s dynamic energy and rich heritage.

Starting July 12, 2025, T’way Air, a South Korean low-cost airline, will launch its inaugural non-stop service between Vancouver (YVR) and Seoul, marking the airline’s first and only non-stop flight to Canada. This new route enhances accessibility to the South Korean capital, furthering the strong cultural and economic ties between the two countries.

The addition of this service will bring the total number of weekly flights from Vancouver to Seoul to 47 year-round, offering greater flexibility and more travel options for the growing demand between Canada and South Korea. With British Columbia home to the second-largest Korean community in Canada—93 percent of which reside in Vancouver—this route will also serve the needs of the region’s vibrant Korean diaspora. Canada is the fourth-largest Korean population outside of Korea, highlighting the importance of this new connection.

T’way Air will operate the route using an Airbus 330-300 aircraft, which boasts 347 seats, including lie-flat options in business and premium economy classes, providing passengers with a comfortable flying experience. The year-round service will run four times a week, with the capacity to transport up to 1,388 passengers weekly.

This new route will also contribute significantly to the local economy, with projections estimating $39.8 million in economic output, $20.8 million in GDP, and the creation of 237 full-time jobs in the province, further enhancing the economic ties between Vancouver and Seoul.
