The Lumi store opened in the pop-up section of Helsinki Airport on 5 November. It focuses on the Lumi brand products and their innovative display in the Finnish way

Lumi bags are available in leading fashion stores, museum shops and department stores in more than 20 countries.
The Lumi story was created in New York City in 2000. Sanna Kantola was designing bags for Ralph Lauren, and Bruno Beaugrand was designing watches for Tiffany. Both wanted to implement their own creative ideas by designing timeless, fashionable handbags.
The first products were made of snow-white felt, so they decided on the name Lumi, from the Finnish word for snow.
The Lumi bag range expanded to design wallets and small leather products. What all of the products shared was quality, a timeless and well-defined form language, functionality and carefully finished innovative details.
Detachable purse sections, key chains, a large number of pockets, and convenient replaceable carrying handles make the life of bag owners easier.
Lumi also extensively promotes the design principles of sustainable development. By developing and using more ecological materials and manufacturing methods, the goal is that the business is as environmentally sound as possible in every way.
Finnish forests are the inspiration for the interior decoration of the store at the airport. The decoration combines the new and the traditional – the space merges modern Nordic minimalism with traditional Finnish materials: high gloss, white metal, contrasted by natural materials such as aspen and elk skin.
The store also embraces sustainable development: the furniture is manufactured in Finland, and the interior decoration has ecologically manufactured materials.
