Nearly 2,500 Fairfield Inn & Suites Associates Give Back to Communities across North America in Honor of 25th Anniversary

Fairfield volunteers with Habitat for Humanity International to help neighbors in need

2012-11-05 — /travelprnews.com/ — More than 200 Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott hotels extend their hospitality this fall by providing families with a fresh start. In its 17th year of supporting Habitat for Humanity International, Fairfield celebrates its silver anniversary in a big way by giving back to the communities that have supported the brand for a quarter century. Across North America, nearly 2,500 associates representing almost 230 hotels rallied together with local Habitat affiliates to provide safe and affordable housing to those in need.

This past October, Fairfield Inn & Suites continued its long-lasting commitment to the brand’s Hospitality at Home® program by participating in the third annual Rally to ServeTM month-long event, benefitting Habitat for Humanity. Fairfield associates, owners, franchisees and guests, representing nearly 50 states and Canadian provinces, helped build homes, donated products from hotel renovations, made financial contributions and volunteered countless hours at local Habitat ReStores, which sell quality used, surplus building materials and furnishings to raise money for local builds.

“This has been a big year for Fairfield Inn & Suites as it marks a milestone in our brand’s history, and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate than to give back to the communities that have supported us for two and a half decades,” said Shruti Buckley, vice president and global brand manager, Fairfield Inn & Suites. “Carrying on with our annual tradition, Fairfield associates have extended the hospitality and service that our brand is known for, providing a brighter future for those in need.”

In addition to sponsoring and building homes, Fairfield associates also hosted and participated in a number of volunteer and fundraising activities to support the Habitat for Humanity cause, including working at the Habitat pumpkin patch, joining in a 5K walk, serving the Fairfield breakfast at numerous builds and participating in a Habitat golf tournament.

“Fairfield Inn & Suites has a long history of giving back to our local communities through our work with Habitat for Humanity,” said Buckley. “From our relationship’s start in 1995 with our 200th hotel’s grand opening to nearly 700 hotels in the United States, Canada and Mexico today, our Hospitality at Home® program has grown along with the brand as a whole. After donating many hours, resources and financial support to Habitat for Humanity, it is thrilling to see the number of families that we have helped, as their dreams of home ownership are achieved and they are able to provide a safer, better environment for their children.”
