(PRESS RELEASE) CHICAGO, 2025-Jun-30 — /Travel PR News/ — Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H), in partnership with Shenzhen Yuen Kai Hotel Management Co., Ltd. (“Yuen Kai”), today celebrates the grand opening of Mumian Shaoxing Hotel in Shaoxing City, China. The property, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, occupies the revamped Shaoxing 871 Chip Factory, melding the site’s industrial heritage with the region’s cultural legacy through avant-garde design and art.

Led by designer Ju Bin and Horizontal Design, the hotel preserves the original factory’s steel-truss framework while reinterpreting its geometry with natural plantings, contemporary artworks, and tactile materials. The transformation honors the past while establishing a new arts-driven icon for Shaoxing.

Guestroom

Across the second and third floors, 90 rooms (484–2,206 sq ft) combine angular motifs and organic textures for a serene yet modern ambience. Guests enjoy Dyson hairdryers, Atelier Cologne toiletries, Tivoli Audio systems, plus local craft beers, goji-infused Shaoxing wine, and Tea’stone tea sets. Overlooking a central water courtyard, corridors double as a gallery showcasing the building’s evolution from factory to cultural haven. Guided art tours deepen appreciation of each design element.

“Story Bloomers” Cultural Experiences
Dedicated cultural concierges craft immersive programs: daytime Shexi opera performances, heritage workshops, sutra calligraphy sessions, and latte art classes; evenings feature the “Starlight Overture” ceremony with Yuejun Nanci melodies and Shaoxing-wine tastings. Off-site, guests glide along historic waterways in traditional wūpéng boats, led by a Story Bloomer.
