Mokulele Airlines Upgrades Service And Reliability

Kailua-Kona, HI, 2012-08-02 — /travelprnews.com/ — Mokulele Airlines, Hawaii’s favorite interisland airline, announced today, it will start giving away free water and cookies on all of its flights as part of a service upgrade.  Each passenger on Mokulele Airlines will receive a free bottle of water, and a locally produced Kona Coffee flavored cookie starting August 3rd 2012.

“We promised our customers that we will always work on improving our service, offering the highest frequency and the most convenient way of inter-island travel and we are staying on course” said Ron Hansen, CEO of Mokulele Airlines.

Asked about the current Hawaii inter-island market outlook and recent announcements by other local airlines, Hansen continued: “Mokulele Airlines is unique compared to the other airlines in Hawaii, as we depend on kama’aina inter-island travel needs only.  We do not operate flights to Mainland or International destinations, we currently have only one code share partner, and we don’t operate government subsidized routes. We have the highest frequency on many of the routes we operate, we have the easiest check-in process, and we are one of top on time performers in Hawaii. Combine all that with low fares, and it is easy to understand why Mokulele Airlines has such loyal Ohana”.

“Some of the highlights of the past 9 months are:  20% increases in daily flights, aircraft fleet, and staffing, on-time performance peaked to over 95%, Kapalua added as a new station,  addition of First Officers on every flight, and we were first airline in the Pacific region to receive FAA approval of EFB’s (I-Pads) in the cockpit.  Mokulele will keep doing our best to answer our loyal Ohana’s needs while improving service, which assures our growth in years to come.”

Mokulele Flight Service, flying the skies of Hawai‘i since 1994, was purchased by TransPac Aviation, Inc. last year. Mokulele offers more than 60 flights a day connecting Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui and theBigIslandwith their fleet of 9 passenger turbine powered Cessna Grand Caravans.  Mokulele recently reinstated service between Honolulu and Kapalua. The company is headquartered in Kailua-Kona. For reservations & information, visit mokuleleairlines.com, facebook.com/mokulele , visit your favorite travel agent, or call 866-260-7070.
