MALDIVES, 2015-3-11 — /Travel PR News/ — Maldives is currently being represented at the world’s leading travel trade show InternationaleTourismus-Börse (ITB) held in Berlin, Germany from 4 – 8 March 2015. 75 companies will be represented in the newly designed Maldives stand under the patronage of the Managing Director of MMPRC, Mr. Abdulla Ziyath.
It was officially announced that Maldives will be the partner country of the InternationaleTourismus-Börse (ITB) 2016 at the Maldives press conference held yesterday. As the official partner country of the fair, Maldives will be hosting the opening ceremony of ITB 2016 to be held at the City Cube Berlin on 8th March 2016. Starting from 10th March 2015 till the beginning of ITB 2016, Maldives together with ITB will be promoting the event on different media platforms. The Managing Director of MMPRC, has stated that it as an honor to be the official partner country of ITB 2016 especially as it marks the 50th Anniversary of the fair. As the official partner country, Maldives will be the main focus of the fair.
Another remarkable statement made during is ‘Visit Maldives year 2016’, which is a destination marketing campaign designed to coincide with the golden jubilee marking the 50th anniversary of Independence of the Maldives. A series of year-long national and international events will be held as a result of this campaign.
All in all, with grand tourism celebrations, 2016 will be a momentous year for the tourism industry of Maldives. These events will highly contribute to making Maldives the world’s most preferred holiday destination.
