Cologne, Germany, 2014-04-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Lufthansa is expanding its capacities to Poland. On 3 July the airline will be linking Frankfurt Airport with Lublin in eastern Poland for the first time. The university and market town is Lufthansa’s eighth destination in Poland.
Flights will be offered on Thursdays and Sundays in an Airbus A319 aircraft with up to 138 seats in Business and Economy Class. LH 1380 leaves the Lufthansa hub at 9.30 a.m. or 10.20 a.m. respectively and reaches Lublin after a flight time of 1 hour and 55 minutes at 11.25 a.m. or 12.15 p.m. respectively. The return flight, LH 1381, lands in Frankfurt in the early afternoon. These times are ideal for transfer flights within the airline’s German and international network.
“We are very pleased to be able to offer our customers another destination in Poland. This new flight makes us the first international network carrier with a presence in the commercial and tourist region of Lublin, whose modern airport was opened recently”, said Kay Kratky, Member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board, Operations & Hub Frankfurt. “Travellers from the American east coast and from Europe will benefit from seamless transfer connections.”
Lublin is situated some 150 kilometres southeast of the capital Warsaw and is the biggest Polish city east of the Vistula River. Around 3.5 million people live within easy reach of the city, which is home to many international companies in the engineering, automotive, energy and food industries. It has five universities and a historic old town with many tourist attractions. St. John’s Cathedral is one of the first Baroque buildings in Poland and the old town of nearby Zamość is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Information and booking for Lufthansa flights are available on the internet at LH.com or through the Lufthansa call centre by phoning +49 69 86 799 799 (landline rate applies).
