LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG appointed Dr. Kristin Neumann as CFO and Chief Officer Human Resources

Dr. Kristin Neumann appointed Chief Financial Officer and Chief Officer Human Resources with effect from July 1, 2014

CologneGermany, 2014-5-19 — /Travel PR News/ — The Supervisory Board of LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG (“LSG Holding”) has appointed Dr. Kristin Neumann (42), currently Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Labour Director at Thomas Cook AG as well as CFO Continental Europe at Thomas Cook Group plc, CFO and Chief Officer Human Resources at LSG Holding, effective July 1, 2014.

She will succeed Jens Theuerkorn (60), CFO since July 2009, whose contract expires as scheduled on June 30, 2014. Neumann has been with the Thomas Cook Group since 2000 and has continuously assumed more responsibilities. In her current role, she is in charge of Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Tax and Legal at Thomas Cook AG and the financial success of the Group in Continental Europe.

“Due to her extensive experience and profound know-how as well as her passion for the travel industry, Kristin Neumann is a perfect fit for her new role. We are very pleased that we have been able to win her over for this challenging position and we welcome her to the Lufthansa Group,” said Simone Menne, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG and Chairwoman of the LSG Holding Supervisory Board.

The reduction in the number of Board members from four to three is in line with the company’s policy of downsizing. Chief Operating Officer, Jochen Müller (52), who has been a member of the Executive Board since March 2005, will assume responsibility for LSG’s SPIRIANT subsidiary as of July 1, 2014 in addition to his current role.

“The Lufthansa Group Executive Board and the LSG Holding Supervisory Board would like to express their deepest gratitude to Jens Theuerkorn for his contributions to the success of the LSG Group over the past five years. He has significantly improved the key financial indicators and thus created a solid foundation for the continued profitable growth of the company. We wish him all the best for his future,” Simone Menne said. “We would also like to wish the New Executive Board comprising Erdmann Rauer, Jochen Müller and Kristin Neumann every success in maintaining the highly positive development of the company,” Simone Menne added.
