Warsaw, 2012-09-21 — /travelprnews.com/ — Readers of the British prestigious magazine – “Business Traveller” – have appreciated the LOT Polish Airlines again. The Polish airlines received an award in the category of the best airline in Central and Eastern Europe.
The ceremony of giving the statues was held at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London today. On behalf of the Polish national carrier, the award was collected by Marcin Piróg, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines.
LOT received the title of the best airline in Central and Eastern Europe, owing to the votes of readers who voted in a special survey, on airlines meeting the highest standard of customer service, among other things. The LOT Polish Airlines received the first award of this kind in 1998.
The award from the British edition of “Business Traveller” joins a rich collection of distinctions which have been awarded to LOT. In recent years, travellers, and readers of tourist magazines at the same time, valued highly and awarded the Polish national carrier’s excellent services and products. Previously, the company received, among other things, awards from the “Global Traveller”” magazine, from the American edition of “Business Traveller” and “Reader’s Digest”.
I’m glad that our passengers notice and appreciate changes occurring at LOT. In recent months, we have developed a high-class passenger service standard, not only on boards our planes but also at the Chopin Airport in Warsaw, which is our hub. We have introduced numerous solutions to make our passengers’ journey as comfortable as possible – said Marcin Piróg, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines. Shorter transfers, increasing numbers of self check-ins and more and more planes using “sleeves” at the airport, shorter baggage reclaim times as well as punctuality indexes and the regularity of LOT flights constantly kept at the top level are the best evidence of the highest quality of our services – adds Marcin Piróg.
The “Business Traveller” magazine is one of the most important magazines on the British market and it is mostly targeted at business-class travellers. It is read by representatives of managerial staff, managers and experts from the financial and tourist sectors. The magazine has been published in Great Britain since 1976.
