Leeds Bradford Airport organised magical trip for Whitley girl to met Santa Claus at his Lapland residency

Leeds, UK, 2014-1-7 — /travelprnews.com/ — Five-year-old Whitley (between Pontefract and Selby) girl Beatrice Howden, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder which means she’ll never be able to walk properly, had her Christmas wish come true when she met Santa Claus at his Lapland residency.

The magical trip was organised by Leeds Bradford Airport, which supports the charity Martin House, who work closely with Beatrice.

Andrew Howden, Beatrice’s father, said: “When we landed in Lapland, Beatrice looked out of the window and said I think my dreams have come true.  It was a truly amazing experience and something she will never forget.”

Tony Hallwood, Aviation Development & Marketing Director Leeds Bradford International Airport, said: “After hearing of Beatrice’s story, we wanted to do something for her to ensure this Christmas is a memorable one for all the right reasons.

“It’s lovely to hear that Beatrice and her family had such a great time and we look forward to keeping in touch with them all in the future.”

Beatrice suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy – a rare genetic disease which can cause muscle wasting and mobility impairment.  For more on Beatrice, visit http://www.getbeatricemobile.org/.
