Revered Hawaiian cultural expert infuses enriching programs to Lanai.

2013-01-15 — /travelprnews.com/ — Ke’alaonapua Kadooka has been named as Learning and Development Manager of Four Seasons Resorts Lanai. In her new role, Kadooka will oversee employee training and development for new and current employees. She will be responsible for perpetuating the Hawaiian culture into employee development standards to capture a sense of place and focus on unique attributes distinct to Lanai and Hawaii.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Ke’ala to the Lanai ohana as our Learning and Development Manager,” says Tom Roelens, general manager of Four Seasons Resorts Lanai. “In addition to her extensive background and experience with Four Seasons, Ke’ala has a vast understanding and passion for Hawaiian culture. She is a certified Ola Hawaii cultural consultant, and will be an incredible resource to both employees and guests alike interested in the rich history and culture of Hawaii.”

Kadooka, a 15-year veteran of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, joins Four Seasons Resorts Lanai from Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, where she served as Learning Manager. While on the Big Island, she was instrumental in retaining the core standards that excelled the team to retain the prestigious AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Star status. Prior to Learning Manager, Kadooka held various management positions at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, including Benefits Manager, Food & Beverage Assistant Manager and Recreation Team Leader.

Kadooka is a graduate of the University of Hawaii Manoa where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Travel Industry Management, with an emphasis in Hotel Management. She is a certified Ola Hawaii cultural consultant, which authorizes her to conduct leadership and cultural training workshops within the hospitality industry. She is an active member of Hula Halau Kala’akeakauikawekiu Na Waiwai O Laupahoehoe. In her spare time, she looks forward to experiencing island life on Lanai and exploring its many off-the-beaten path adventures with her husband and two young children.
