Guy Harvey Outpost – A TradeWinds Beach Resort is located on Florida’s west coast on the island of St. Pete Beach. The 211-room property, formerly the TradeWinds Sandpiper Suites, is the first Guy Harvey Outpost hotel in the United States and is just 30 minutes from Tampa.

WHAT:

Fans of Guy Harvey have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the world-famous conservationist and artist to celebrate the grand opening of his first hotel in the United States – Guy Harvey Outpost – A TradeWinds Beach Resort. The two-night package, Sept.11-13, includes two invitations to the exclusive grand opening party on Sept. 12, hosted by Guy Harvey. The party includes festive food and drinks, live music, a preview of the property and a fireworks display. Rates for the package begin at $399* and include the additional benefits included in the resort amenity fee such as beach cabanas, fitness centers, self-parking, complimentary in-room WiFi and more.

Guests will also have the opportunity to attend a book signing with Guy Harvey on Sept. 13.
The $3 million transformation of the property is currently taking place, with a completion date

of December 2012. Guy Harvey’s signature brand is being incorporated throughout the public and exterior spaces of hotel and meeting space, including new artwork, murals, and signage. A Guy Harvey décor theme is being implemented in all the guestrooms, including new carpet, paint, artwork and flat screen HDTVs. New activity programs include the Li’l Guys kid’s club, complete with innovative and fun activities for toddlers to teenagers that focus on education and conservation. For adults, the new Guy Harvey Outfitter Store features the latest in Guy Harvey sportswear, accessories and souvenirs; video displays of Guy Harvey content and conservation information; and information on top-of-class watersports and area excursions. Captain Tim, the Outpost’s resident fishing expert, will be on hand to lead a variety of talks, walks and demonstrations on everything from throwing a cast net to rod and reel care.

The Outpost property remains owned and managed by the TradeWinds Island Resorts and will continue to share privileges with its nearby, larger sister property, the TradeWinds Island Grand.
