Jet Airways and JetKonnect to close all domestic check-in counters 45 minutes prior departure to enhance on-time performance

Extends uniform check–in-counter closure 45 minutes prior to departure, across all airports in India

MUMBAI,  2014-04-14 — /Travel PR News/ — On-time performance is fast emerging as a critical service parameter for our guests.

In view of the above, Jet Airways and JetKonnect today announced that, it would uniformly close all domestic check-in counters 45 minutes prior to departure across non metro cities within India, with immediate effect.

The move is an extension of the check-in policy currently observed by the Jet Airways’ Group across Metro cities in India, and will enhance On Time Performance across the airline’s domestic network.

Guests using Web or Kiosk check-in but with checked in baggage will have to complete all baggage related formalities prior to counter closure.

Mr. Gaurang Shetty, Senior Vice President – Commercial, Jet Airways, said, “maintaining a uniform counter closure across the entire network will enhance our On Time Performance and consistency across all domestic flights.”
