Japan Airlines and Vietjet begin sales of their codeshare flights

Tokyo, Japan, 2018-Oct-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Japan Airlines (JAL) and new-age airline Vietjet today (October 19, 2018) announced that the carriers` will begin sales of their codeshare flights starting October 23. Vietjet and JAL signed a Memorandum of Understanding for commercial cooperation in 2017 and will now offer codeshare flights on domestic destinations in Vietnam and on international flights between Vietnam and Japan.

– For travel starting October 28, 2018 (Codeshare flights are subject to government approval)
– Reservation and ticket sales will be available from October 23, 2018

Applicable Routes Operated by Vietjet
Domestic Flights
– Ho Chi Minh=Hanoi
– Ho Chi Minh=Da Nang
– Hanoi=Da Nang

International Flights
– Kansai=Hanoi (from November 8th)

Based on the agreement, the two airlines will aim to expand their codeshare routes in the near future, including other flight services between Japan and Vietnam as well as JAL’s domestic flights, and Vietjet’s domestic flights.
