JAL Expands Cargo Network with New Routes and Increased Frequencies for Summer FY2025
(IN SHORT) Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced its international cargo freighter schedule for fiscal year 2025, highlighting the addition of a third Boeing 767 freighter and several key route expansions. JAL will begin a new cargo service to Hanoi starting March 30, 2025, increasing its presence in Southeast Asia. The airline will also increase flight frequencies to Hong Kong and Shanghai, and introduce a new round-trip route between Narita and Taipei. JAL continues to enhance its logistics network by integrating freighter and passenger services to meet growing customer demands for transporting essential goods like pharmaceuticals, produce, and chemicals.

With the addition of a third Boeing 767 freighter, JAL aims to enhance its capacity and cater to growing customer demand across key regions. Notable changes include new routes, increased flight frequencies, and additional round-trip services to bolster its extensive network.
Starting March 30, 2025, JAL will launch a new cargo service to Hanoi, tapping into the city’s booming high-tech industries. This route marks the airline’s first Southeast Asian freighter service since resuming operations. In addition, JAL will ramp up its frequencies to major markets, with flights to Hong Kong increasing to six per week and Shanghai receiving three additional weekly flights. Furthermore, a new round-trip route between Narita and Taipei (Taoyuan) will be introduced, offering five flights per week.
The new summer schedule, running from March 30 to October 25, 2025, reflects JAL’s commitment to meeting the diverse logistics needs of its customers, from pharmaceuticals to fresh produce and chemicals.
