Homewood Suites by Hilton Reaches 35,000 Suite Milestone with Opening of Homewood Suites Orlando Airport

Award-Winning Brand Leads Extended-Stay Category Offering Guests Top Value and Home-like Experience

MCLEAN, Va., 2013-03-04 — /travelprnews.com/ — Homewood Suites by Hilton, the international brand of upscale, all-suite, residential-style hotels, celebrated the opening of its 35,000th suite with the debut of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Orlando Airport.  With more than 315-plus properties across North America, Homewood Suites continues its aggressive growth goals as the brand has more than 70 hotels in its pipeline.

“Opening our 35,000th suite not only signifies a statistical achievement for Homewood Suites, but demonstrates our brand’s success in appealing to both business and leisure travel guests, hotel owners and developers,” said Bill Duncan, global head, Homewood Suites by Hilton.  “Demand for extended-stay hotels is strong as travelers continue to look for value, and we believe this factor along with new design standards and guest experience initiatives will help Homewood Suites achieve many more milestones.”

To mark the important event, Homewood Suites rewarded guests with special surprise and delight check-in gifts such as 35,000 Hilton HHonors points or a $35 gift card to purchase groceries utilizing the brand’s complimentary grocery shopping service.  One lucky guest also received the ultimate reward for checking into the 35,000th suite, an upgraded room complete with a full stocked refrigerator and take home gifts such as a Homewood Suites bedding package and plush robe, 350,000 Hilton HHonors points, one-year subscription to USA Today and an iPad with Retina Display.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Orlando Airport offers roomy studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites, with additional guest amenities including a daily complimentary full hot breakfast in the hotel’s hospitality center – the “Lodge” – a full evening meal with drinks* Monday-Thursday, and a 24-hour on-site pantry.  The hotel also offers complimentary Wi-Fi, fully-equipped fitness center, outdoor pool and sport court, 24-hour executive business center and approximately 760 square feet of flexible meeting space.

Creating 31 permanent jobs, the 4-story, 128-suite Orlando hotel is owned by McKibbon Hotel Group Orlando Gateway HM, LP and managed by McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc.  General Manager Stephano Anamisis has been in the hotel industry for over 20 years, and is supported by Director of Sales, Vanessa Faberlle who has more than 20 years of local sales experience.   Located adjacent to Orlando International Airport, Homewood Suites Orlando Airport provides access to all that this top travel destination has to offer including world-famous theme parks Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld®, as well as many business and training centers in the Orlando Airport area.

“Given today’s economy and the stresses associated with travel, providing our guests services and amenities that let them be at home and feel comfortable without being nickel-and-dimed is paramount to our brand,” said Christian Kuhn, vice president of marketing, Homewood Suites by Hilton.  “It is this bundled value that has helped make Homewood Suites J.D. Power & Associates Top-Extended Stay Hotel nine out of the past 12 years, and with our next 35,000 suites, our brand looks to continue this standard.”
