(NEWS) MUSCAT, Oman, 2026-Jan-05 — /Travel PR News/ — Hilton has officially begun welcoming guests to three newly launched properties at Barr Al Jissah, marking a significant addition to Oman’s growing luxury and leisure hospitality landscape. According to the company’s announcement, the opening of Al Husn Hotel Muscat, Hilton Muscat Al Bandar, and DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha introduces a trio of distinct yet interconnected resort experiences along the dramatic coastline east of Muscat. Set between rugged cliffs and the Gulf of Oman, the waterfront destination blends refined luxury, family-friendly resort living, and large-scale events facilities, reinforcing the area’s appeal to both international visitors and regional travellers. The resorts are owned by The Zubair Corporation and operated by Hilton, with the partnership positioned as part of Oman’s wider push to expand tourism capacity under Vision 2040.
Each property brings a different character to the Barr Al Jissah development. Al Husn Hotel Muscat is positioned as an adults-oriented luxury retreat, drawing inspiration from Omani fort architecture and offering elevated privacy with sea-facing rooms, a private beach, infinity pool, and spa facilities; the hotel is also slated to transition into a Waldorf Astoria following renovations planned for 2027. Nearby, Hilton Muscat Al Bandar serves as the destination’s social and business hub, featuring extensive indoor and outdoor event spaces, including a large ballroom and amphitheatre designed for weddings, conferences, and major gatherings. Meanwhile, DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha caters to families and leisure-focused travellers, with village-style architecture, multiple pools, water features, and access to shared resort amenities across the complex.
Beyond accommodation, the three hotels collectively share more than 500 metres of private beachfront and a wide range of recreational offerings, including swimming pools, tennis courts, a lazy river, water sports, and a PADI-certified dive centre. Wellness experiences also play a central role, with spa concepts drawing on local elements such as Omani rose and frankincense. As outlined in the press materials, Hilton and The Zubair Corporation view the opening as a long-term investment in Oman’s tourism ecosystem, aligning international hospitality standards with local heritage while contributing to the country’s ambition to attract millions of visitors annually.
