High Flying Ticket Sales! Less than 2,000 tickets left for Jersey Live

JERSEY LIVE FESTIVAL 2012 with JT
SEPTEMBER 1ST – 2ND

2012-08-31 — /travelprnews.com/ — Set in the lush countryside of the Parish of Trinity, in the rural heart of Jersey, Channel Islands, Jersey Live Festival sponsored once again by JT returns for its 9th edition this September. Surrounded by 45 miles of stunning coast and enjoying more sunshine than any other place in the British Isles, Jersey is the most popular beach destination for Britons taking a domestic holiday, making Jersey Live the perfect ‘destination festival.’

Headlining the Main Stage at the 10,000 capacity boutique festival are Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Chase & Status, and other musical highlights include Primal Scream, Professor Green, The Stranglers and Rizzle Kicks, to name just a few.

TICKETS NOW ON SALE AT BROAD STREET MAIN POST OFFICE

Ticket sales for Jersey Live are running on par with 2011, suggesting that the festival is once again heading for a sell-out. With the past two years selling out in advance during the week leading up to the event, it’s expected that demand for the remaining 2,000 tickets over the next few days will be higher than ever. To cope with the demand Jersey Live has opened an additional ticket outlet at Broad Street Main Post Office, St Helier. Opening hours are Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm and Saturday 8.30am – 1pm. Tickets are also still available from the JT Store in Queen Street, St Helier and from www.jerseylive.org.uk

FUNTAZIA RETURNS TO JERSEY LIVE

As well as the six stages (Main Stage, Dance Stage, SoBe Stage, JT Stage, Hospitality Stage and Full Flow Locale Dance Tent), and the new Par 4 field featuring street performers, comedy, theatre and interactive installations, the Funtazia funfair returns to the festival after making its debut here last year, meaning that there’s more entertainment than ever at Jersey Live 2012.

Amongst the highlights from the funfair are the usual favourites, Bumper Cars, Waltzers and a Giant Slide, as well as the classic Miami ride. The Miami is a mainstay at UK festivals and instantly recognisable, its row of seated passengers propelled from side-to-side in a ‘windscreen wiper’ action. The funfair will also welcome the Orbiter. A much-loved funfair attraction, the Orbiter has a number of arms protruding from a central rotating axis, each supporting several cars, which are lifted 90° into horizontal position whilst the ride is spinning. It’s the perfect high-octane ride.

Music will be fed to the funfair attractions live from the Full Flow Locale Dance Tent, meaning that local DJs including Terminal State, Tharindu Elkin, DJ Spim and Jersey Live co-director Waren Le Sueur will be providing the soundtrack to the fairground fun.

The food village has also been expanded this year, with chef Andy Taylor from Gorey’s Café Louise providing a delicious and varied menu of curries, pasta dishes, salads, baguettes, burgers and pizzas, with meat and vegetarian options. The village will be arranged in a ‘street’ layout, with streetlights and crafts stalls, ice cream vans, face-painting areas, and entertainment. With all this and a capacity of just 10,000 daily, Jersey Live has all the action of a major festival but all the friendliness and intimacy that its boutique status would suggest.

Tickets on sale now from www.jerseylive.org.uk, the JT Store in Queen Street, St Helier and Broad Street Main Post Office, St Helier, priced at £92 for Standard (Age 16+) Weekend tickets. All prices are subject to booking fee and 5% GST.
