Grand Jersey to present final instalment of ‘Four Seasons of Elegant Dining’ at National Trust for Jersey’s Georgian town house on 19th November 2013

Jersey, 2013-11-14 — /travelprnews.com/ — Grand Jersey and Dunell’s Premier Wines will present the fourth and final instalment of ‘Four Seasons of Elegant Dining’ at the National Trust for Jersey’s Georgian town house, 16 New Street, on 19th November 2013.

The exclusive series has offered diners the opportunity to enjoy a three course meal courtesy of Tassili executive head chef Richard Allen, who recently retained a Michelin star for the third consecutive year, with wines specially selected to accompany the meal by experts from Dunell’s. The elegant premises at 16 New Street were chosen to celebrate Jersey’s rich heritage and showcase a fine example of a preserved Georgian town house. The final dinner in the series will be hosted by antiques expert Peter Le Rossignol, on the theme of ‘A Cabinet of Curiosities: the history of collecting from the 17th – 19th Century’. ‘Cabinets’ were conceived in the 16th century as a private repository of natural history, religious or historical relics, works of art and antiquities.

Chris Addy, curator of 16 New Street, commented, ‘16 New Street has proven to be the perfect backdrop to this series of fine dining events which celebrate Jersey’s rich cultural history. All of the evenings have sold out well in advance and the feedback from diners has been excellent. Guests at the final dinner are sure to enjoy a wonderful evening of fine food, wine and entertainment, hosted by the ever humorous and erudite Peter Le Rossignol, who will be bringing some of his treasures to share with the company’.
