GBTA Announces New Vice President for France

Paris, 2012-12-21 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)—the voice of the global business travel industry — today announced the appointment of Ms Carole Poillerat to the role of Vice President for GBTA France.

Ms Poillerat, who acts as Global Category Leader, Meetings & Events at AstraZeneca in Paris, will join Mr Yann Le Goff, who acts as the region’s President.  Ms Poillerat will formally take on the role beginning on January 1st 2013.

Having established the Association in France during 2012, the two association leaders have set out a plan for events and membership throughout the year ahead for the French region. The plan starts with a collaboration between KDS and GBTA which will see GBTA’s Vice President of Global Operations, Paul Tilstone, moderate the KDS Now! event in Paris on 31st January and KDS will invite its top twenty French customers to become guest members of GBTA France.

Full details of activity throughout the year will be released in the next few weeks.

Talking about the appointment, Ms Poillerat said, “Being able to assist GBTA to progress in France is a huge ambition of mine.  It’s an important market and GBTA needs to have a relevant programme for travel & meetings buyers and suppliers here.  It’s going to be my role to help develop that.  Yann has done a great job in getting us established and now I am really pleased to be able to devote some time to supporting him and GBTA to get some real momentum in the year ahead.”

GBTA France was announced in the Spring of 2012 and formally established in September 2012.
