(PRESS RELEASE) TOKYO, Japan, 2026-Mar-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi is welcoming the arrival of spring with a collection of seasonal dining and wellness experiences inspired by the beauty of sakura, Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms. From elevated afternoon teas and limited-edition desserts to curated hanami picnic offerings and spa rituals, the hotel invites guests to celebrate the fleeting charm of the season while enjoying panoramic views across the blooming city skyline.
Located high above Tokyo’s historic Otemachi district, the hotel offers easy access to several renowned cherry blossom viewing locations. As the capital’s gardens, boulevards and historic grounds burst into colour, guests can experience the tradition of hanami—the Japanese custom of appreciating cherry blossoms—both within the hotel and in the surrounding neighbourhood. The nearby grounds of the former Edo Castle and the tree-lined streets of Otemachi create a picturesque setting where modern architecture meets centuries of Japanese heritage.
Seasonal Dining Experiences
At THE LOUNGE, guests can enjoy the Sakura Spring Afternoon Tea, a refined seasonal presentation that blends French pâtisserie techniques with Japanese aesthetics. The menu unfolds in soft pink tones and features playful Easter-inspired motifs such as eggs and rabbits. The experience begins with a welcome drink inspired by the mimosa flower, a symbol of spring in Europe, followed by beverages and sweets designed to evoke the delicate fragrance and colours of cherry blossoms.
The pastry team has also introduced several limited-time desserts celebrating spring. One highlight is the Cherry Blossom and Fruits Noirs Tart, where subtle sakura aromas meet rich berry flavours. A blackberry and cassis compote is layered beneath sakura chantilly cream on a crisp pastry base, creating a dessert that mirrors the graceful fall of cherry blossom petals.
Another seasonal creation from Executive Pastry Chef Michele Abbatemarco is the Chamomile Mousse with Kumquat and Blood Orange Confiture. Inspired by memories of the Italian countryside during springtime, the dessert combines citrus brightness with soothing chamomile and roasted hazelnut notes. The presentation evokes a peaceful spring scene with tulips and a resting rabbit, reflecting Easter symbolism and seasonal renewal.
These springtime sweets will be available from March 1 to April 19, 2026, with the afternoon tea priced from JPY 8,300 on weekdays and JPY 9,300 on weekends and holidays.
Seasonal Cocktails and Hanami Dining
For evening gatherings, the hotel’s acclaimed bar VIRTÙ, ranked No. 18 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars, offers a special seasonal cocktail called the Sakura Sazerac. The drink reimagines the classic Sazerac by incorporating cherry bitters and presenting the cocktail in a sake vessel, combining American cocktail tradition with Japanese elegance. The Sakura Sazerac is available for JPY 4,100.
Guests looking to enjoy the cherry blossoms outdoors can also reserve the Hanami Picnic Box, a bento-style picnic designed for sakura viewing. The box features a selection of sweet and savoury treats, ideal for enjoying beneath the flowering trees. The picnic box is available for JPY 6,000, exclusively for hotel guests, and must be reserved at least three days in advance.
In addition, PIGNETO, the hotel’s Italian restaurant, offers takeaway Neapolitan pizzas throughout the spring season. Prepared using a recipe created by Naples-based master pizzaiolo Alessandro DeLeo, the kiln-baked pizzas provide a convenient option for guests heading out to explore the city’s cherry blossom viewing spots. Takeaway pizzas start from JPY 3,500 and are available daily from 11:45 am to 9:00 pm.
Sakura-Inspired Wellness Experiences
Spring celebrations extend to the hotel’s Spa Boutique, where a special Sakura Spa Treatment has been designed to capture the restorative energy of the season. The 90-minute experience begins with the soothing application of rose quartz stones to relieve tension, followed by a full-body massage using sakura oil. The treatment concludes with a combination of volcanic basalt and cool jade stones, creating a revitalizing ritual from head to toe.
Guests who wish to bring the essence of spring home can purchase the Sakura Room Mist, a fragrance developed exclusively for Four Seasons. Inspired by historical Edo-era hanami gatherings, the scent blends light floral notes with fresh fruit aromas, evoking the elegance of cherry blossom celebrations held in traditional Japanese gardens.
The Sakura Spa Treatment is priced at JPY 60,400 for 90 minutes, while the Sakura Room Mist is available for JPY 6,600 (30 ml).
With these curated seasonal experiences, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi invites guests to immerse themselves in the beauty, flavours and traditions of Japan’s most celebrated springtime ritual.
