Four Seasons to Host Third Annual Virtual Wine Tasting Event

*Corporate – 2012-12-11 — /travelprnews.com/ — Thursday December 13, 2012 will see some of Europe’s leading wine experts take to Twitter to participate in an interactive wine tasting and Q&A session with oenophiles worldwide.

The event, hosted and led by the chief sommeliers from several European Four Seasons properties, will bring together wine experts from the hospitality and retail industries, as well as eminent wine bloggers and journalists. Participants will be guided live through four pre-selected wines, and will benefit from tasting notes, accompanying menu suggestions and general tips on selecting wine from the panel members who will be tweeting live from the Amaranto Bar at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane via the official@FourSeasons.

As in previous years, Four Seasons has assembled an exceptional panel of guests for the 2012 event. Joining the chief sommeliers from:

• Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris;
• Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva;
• Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire;
• Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane; and,
• Harrods’ Wine Expert William Dean.

Available for purchase at Harrods and at participating Four Seasonsproperties, the wine selection consists of a Champagne, a white, a red and a dessert wine; all of which have been chosen with festive entertaining in mind. Participants joining the discussion will be encouraged to share their first impressions of the selected wines and ask the experts about suitable accompanying menus, as well as enjoying a general Q&A session that will follow the tasting.

With holidays just around the corner, the #FSWine event will provide participants with a wealth of specialist knowledge, enabling them to make informed wine choices over the festive period.

The interactive #FSWine event follows the December 7 launch ofFour Seasons Taste microsite – a new, content-rich platform for gastronomes seeking inspiration and expert tips on all things delicious from the world-class chefs, sommeliers and restaurant managers of Four Seasons properties worldwide.
