With its laidback, sophisticated vibe, the pop-up is the perfect spot to soak up lake views while savouring creative fare and sipping refreshing cocktails
Geneva, Switzerland, 2021-Jun-30 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva has unveiled La Riviera du Rhône, a relaxing and informal hangout on leafy Ile Rousseau, a two-minute walk from the Hotel. Available until the end of September 2021, this trendy pop-up bar and lounge on the lakefront is the perfect meeting place for Hotel guests and locals alike to enjoy fashionable drinks in a casual setting.
“We created the pop-up to give guests the chance to soak up some summer sun while enjoying light bites, refreshing cocktails, and fine wines. Located on Lake Geneva’s leafy Ile Rousseau, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy an aperitif and a relaxed meal. The atmosphere is chic yet informal, making it ideal not only for couples, friends and colleagues, but also for families who are looking for a casual dining experience by the lake,” explains Martin Rhomberg, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues.
The space is dressed with understated furnishings that exude a stylish vibe, with cushioned seating and upholstered dining benches and chairs. Black, white, gold and shades of smoke-grey dominate, lending a smart yet understated feel. Potted plants are dotted here and there, creating cosy seating areas that offer plenty of privacy, making for the ultimate setting to enjoy an intimate drink with friends, family or colleagues. Background lounge music adds to the atmosphere.
The specially created menu features light summery dishes, with the likes of fish crudos, grilled meats and homemade desserts. The fish dishes change daily depending on what’s fresh from the catch, with light options that are perfect to enjoy with a glass of Provençal rosé.
The summer cocktail menu includes favourites such as Martinis, Negronis, Moscow Mules and Spritz, alongside a selection of champagnes, wines and beers. Among the wines on offer is the Hotel’s signature La Riviera du Rhône Premier Cru, blended for the property by Olivier Herbert, a renowned cellar master from France’s Montagne de Reims Regional Natural Park, a protected area carpeted in vineyards that is famous for producing exceptional sparkling wines.
In the afternoons, the pop-up offers a selection of sweet treats and delectable ice creams made by local producers, including Noble Rhône, an indulgent chocolate and crunchy praline ice cream created by Swiss chocolatier Du Rhône Chocolatier that is sure to tantalise the taste buds of children and adults alike.
La Riviera du Rhône is open from Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner, without reservation.
