Europe Tour Packages for Family

PUNE, India, 2019-Sep-27 — /Travel PR News/ — Europe as a continent is blessed with abundant natural beauty. It has Mediterranean landscapes in the south, rugged alps mountains in central-western Europe and Glaciers and polar landscapes in Scandinavia. Europe offers romantic gateways for couples, child-centric parks, and rides for teens and kids. Europe offers something or the other to every member of the family irrespective of his or her age.

Below are our recommended Europe tour packages for family.

1] Switzerland – If you are a first-time visitor to Europe, then Switzerland should be your top priority. We recommend a minimum of 5 nights in Switzerland, but if you have 7 nights then that is optimum.

Swiss Delight – 5 Nights / 6 days – Switzerland is best explored using Swiss pass which allows unlimited free travel on public trains, buses, trams, metro, and ferries. On top of that, the Swiss pass is free for kids below 16 years of travelling with their parents. Thus, if a family of 4 is travelling and kids are below 16 years, only mummy and papa will pay for transport and sightseeing in Switzerland and kids will travel free. This makes Switzerland tour very economical for a family. In Swiss Delight, you shall cover Interlaken, Mount Jungfrau, Lucerne, Mount Titlis and the capital city of Bern. Enjoy Europe tour package for a family in Switzerland with Snow-capped mountains, cogwheel train, scenic cable car rides, funicular and much more. Do not forget to bring loads of Swiss chocolates and loads of memories to cherish.

Swiss Classic – 7 nights / 8 days – Swiss pass is available in 4 days, 8 days and 15 days duration. Thus, if you take 7 nights / 8 days package, then you can utilize Swiss pass to the fullest possible extent. Again, there is a negligible difference in cost for 4 days and 8 days pass. Thus, by spending a little extra on accommodation, you can have Swiss holidays for your families for 8 full days. You shall cover Interlaken, Mt Jungfrau, Mt Titlis, Mt Schilthorn, Lucerne, Capital city of Bern, Scenic Golden pass express train to Montreux, Charlie Chaplin Museum in Vevey, Chocolate factory in Broc and Rhine Falls near Zurich.

2] Swiss with Paris – This is another option that we highly recommend for families as Euro Disney is the main attraction for all family members. Typically spend 5 nights or 6 nights in Switzerland and then take the fastest TGV train from Basel or Geneva to Paris. This fast train will take you in just 3.5 hrs to Paris wherein road journey is approx 10 hrs or more.

In Swiss, you have three options for accommodation.

a] Stay in central Switzerland hotels such as Interlaken or Lucerne or Bern and take excursions from this base which avoids packing, unpacking and carrying luggage by trains. As you have unlimited and free train travel, there is no extra cost to take TO and FRO excursions from one base point.

b] Stay in multi-locations such as Zurich / Bern / Lucerne / Interlaken / Montreux and Zermatt. In this case, you split your stay and stay in different locations so that you can stay and enjoy that particular town much better than taking just a day trip. Many times, this saves cost and gives you a better insight into that place, but you need to pack, unpack your luggage and travel from one hotel to another by train with that luggage.

c] Stay inan apartment which may not be centrally located but gives you a family holiday feel and most of the time these are located in scenic locations in nearby villages. This is generally economical and you save on food costs as you can cook your food in the kitchenette. This is generally preferred when a family is size is more than six.

In Paris, you should stay in a central area so that you can easily explore main places such as Champs De Elysees, Louvre Museum, Eiffel Tower and Arc De triumph by Hop on Hop Off bus or metro lines. We recommend staying near RER-A red line station as it connects La Defence, Arc De Triumph, Champs De Elysees, Louvre museum, Chatelet and Disneyland. Thus, it is very convenient and cheaper to use a public metro system to explore these places. Keep one full day to explore Disneyland. If you wish to explore Versailles palace, you need at least 6-7 hrs to see its beautiful gardens and apartments.

3] Swiss with Italy – This option is recommended when kids are more than 12 years old and can walk and have an interest in history. Italy is just south of Switzerland and you can reach Milan or Venice by train. After the scenic Swiss Alps, explore Mediterranean Italy which has a rich history, monuments, culture, and art. Places like Venice and Florence have a different landscape and renaissance influence. Rome was the capital of the Roman empire and its history dates back to 2000 years and more. Amalfi coast in southern Italy would fascinate you with its scenic villages like Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, and Sorrento.

4] Austria with Italy – This is another option we can recommend to families who already been to Switzerland. Austria which is equally beautiful Alpine country will fascinate you with its lake district, salt mine, Mozart concerts and capital city of Vienna. From Salzburg, you can take an overnight train to Florence which saves your time and hotel cost. Thus, you can combine an Alpine country with the Mediterranean one.

5] Paris with Brussels to Amsterdam – This is another option of Europe tour package for the family. This is a straight-line itinerary. You explore Paris with its Eiffel Tower and Disneyland and then reach Brussels by train in just 3 hrs. Explore the capital city of Belgium with its main attractions such as Atomium, miniature Europe, and Manneken pis statue and of course Belgian chocolates and waffles. You also should take a day trip to Bruges to explore the scenic canal town in Belgium. Amsterdam a Dutch capital has its charm. Visit Keukenhof gardens [during March, April and Mid May], Geithoorn village, the countryside of Holland such as Zaanse, Marken, and Volendam. Thus, you should have at least 3 days for Paris, 2 days for Brussels and 3 days for Amsterdam.
