2012-09-10 — /travelprnews.com/ — Ethiopian Aviation Academy graduated 12 pilots, 125 aviation maintenance technicians and 60 cabin crew at a ceremony held at the Ethiopian Headquarters on Thursday, September 6, 2012.

At the graduation ceremony, Ethiopian CEO, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, gave out diplomas to all the graduates, and flight wings to graduating pilots and cabin crew. On the occasion, CEO Tewolde congratulated the new graduates and welcomed them to the airline’s fast growing workforce. He added: “The Ethiopian Aviation Academy is the foundation of the Airline. Self sufficiency in training of all airline expertise right from the inception of our business has been one of the major success factors of Ethiopian Airlines. Our Vision 2025 envisages a work force of around 17,000 employees and most of them will graduate from our Academy. This is the main reason that we are investing huge amount of money, time and energy for its expansion.”

Ethiopian Aviation Academy is certified by the US Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) and, as of 2011, by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as an approved part-147 type maintenance training organization.
