(PRESS RELEASE) Dubai, UAE, 2024-Nov-5 — /Travel PR News/ — Emirates has resumed its daily flights to Edinburgh, marking its return to Scotland’s capital since 2020. The inaugural Emirates Boeing 777 flight received a warm welcome with a performance by the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, creating a memorable experience for passengers. Edinburgh now becomes Emirates’ eighth destination in the UK, complementing the daily A380 flight to Glasgow, and offering travelers 14 weekly flights between Scotland and Dubai.

This service supports both tourism and trade, with Emirates SkyCargo able to carry up to 16 tonnes of cargo per flight, enhancing transport options for Scottish exports like salmon, whisky, and shellfish. Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, highlighted the importance of the UK market and the value of reconnecting with Scotland. Edinburgh Airport’s CEO, Gordon Dewar, noted that the service will provide valuable connections to destinations across Emirates’ global network.
