(IN SHORT) Embraer hosted its Asia Pacific Airline Business Seminar in Singapore from August 6 to 7, 2025, bringing together regional airlines, financiers, and aviation stakeholders to discuss evolving market trends and opportunities for growth. The event highlighted how Embraer’s E-Jets and E-Jets E2 aircraft can enhance regional connectivity, particularly to underserved destinations. According to the company’s 2025 market outlook, Asia Pacific, including China, is expected to account for 3,390 of the 10,500 sub-150-seat aircraft needed worldwide over the next 20 years. With nearly 200 E-Jets already in operation in the region, Embraer continues to expand its market presence, bolstered by recent orders from Virgin Australia and All Nippon Airways, both of which will become the first operators of the E2 in their respective countries.
(NEWS) SINGAPORE, 2025-Aug-11 — /Travel PR News/ — Embraer has concluded the Asia Pacific edition of its Airline Business Seminar in Singapore, held from August 6 to 7, 2025, attracting key industry players including airlines, financiers, consultants, and aviation regulators from across the region. The closed-door gathering served as a strategic forum to examine shifting traveler behaviors, emerging regional market opportunities, and the role of aircraft such as Embraer’s E-Jets and E-Jets E2 families in shaping the next phase of growth for Asia Pacific aviation.
The discussions, led by Embraer executives and industry participants, focused on how airlines can leverage smaller narrowbody and regional aircraft to improve connectivity, expand frequency of services, and better serve underserved destinations beyond major hubs. Raul Villaron, Vice President for Asia Pacific at Embraer Commercial Aviation, emphasized that the event reflects the company’s deep engagement with the Asia-Pacific community and its role in enabling operators to tap into the region’s vast unrealized potential.
Embraer’s latest market outlook, published in June 2025, forecasts demand for 10,500 sub-150-seat jets and turboprops globally over the next two decades, with Asia Pacific, including China, accounting for about 3,390 units or 33.2% of this demand. The company already operates close to 200 E-Jets in the region, serving 14 airlines across seven countries. Notable customers include Scoot, All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan Airlines, Tianjin Airlines, Alliance Airlines, and Virgin Australia.
Recent orders underline the growing appeal of Embraer’s latest generation aircraft in the Asia Pacific market. In August 2024, Virgin Australia placed an order for eight E190-E2 jets to bolster its regional and charter operations in Western Australia. Earlier this year, ANA ordered 15 E190-E2s with options for five more, aiming to strengthen its domestic connectivity. These orders will make both airlines the first operators of the E2 model in their respective countries, reinforcing Embraer’s expanding footprint in the region.
