EANS earns the Family-friendly Employer stamp from the Ministry of Social Affairs

Harjumaa, Estonia, 2017-Sep-20 — /Travel PR News/ — On 15 September Kaia Iva, Minister of Social Affairs, awarded 43 employers, including EANS, the Family-friendly Employer stamp, which allows present and future employers to demonstrate that they appreciate the wishes of their employees and are ready to contribute to their well-being.

“We participate in family- and employee-friendly company stamp programme, because, for us, it is important that people could work in good working conditions, where their needs are taken into account. We have done a lot in this respect, and are planning to do much more in the future as well. The stamp allows us to show others that our Company is nice to work for and moreover, within the frames of the programme we can exchange experience with other companies and ask for consultant’s help. “ said Tanel Rautits, EANS Chief Executive Officer.

The receipt of the stamp was preceded by participation in the respective contest and preparation of an action plan on changing the Company working culture towards becoming even more employee- and family friendly.
We have already been paying a lot of attention to health promotion, creation of team-feeling, family involvement and flexible working time and location. In the future we are going to pay more attention to planning the working time of the roster staff and we have planned several activities to improve the reconciliation of work and family life, to prevent fatigue from working at night as well as to improve the psychological work environment and staff involvement.

The next step will be the implementation of the measures in the action plan; at the end of this phase, in 1.5-2 years, the achievements will be assessed and based on them a bronze, silver or gold stamp respectively will be granted.
Beginning from 2017 the Ministry of Social Affairs will be granting Family-friendly Employer stamps – all employers can apply for it either in commercial, public sector or civic associations.

The broader idea of the stamp concept is to make the social attitudes more family friendly, to improve the employer’s recruitment competitiveness and to increase the sense of security of the staff.
