2013-05-13 — /travelprnews.com/ — On March 10th 2013 Dusit Thani Maldives celebrated Children’s Day, recognising children and hospitality in the Baa Atoll. The resort invited 30 children and their teachers from the islands of Kihaadhoo, Dhonfanu and Dharavandhoo.
A fun programme of activities was organised aiming to instil hospitality awareness and values in young children, as well as pride in their home for being host to first-class international luxury resorts.
“We are extremely delighted to welcome the children of Baa Atoll on this day,” said Desmond Hatton, general manager. “Our goal is to help them gain insight about operating a five-star resort and potentially embrace this industry for their future careers. This designated day gives us the opportunity to reflect on our role in developing the Baa Atoll community, while contributing to a sustainable future.”
The programme included an educational behind-the scenes tour of resort operations, a buffet lunch in the main restaurant, meeting the management, and other enjoyable learning activities.
