Deutsche Hospitality appoints Ulrich Bensel as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

Bensel completes the hotel group’s new C-level management structure below the Executive Board

Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2021-Feb-03 — /Travel PR News/ — Deutsche Hospitality has put the finishing touches to its new management tier. Ulrich Bensel has been appointed to the new position of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) with immediate effect. Along with Daniela Schade, Chief Commercial & Distribution Officer, Florian Daniel, Chief Information Officer and Claus-Dieter Jandel, Chief Development Officer, Ulrich Bensel forms the new C-Level of Deutsche Hospitality. In his capacity as CHRO, Mr. Bensel will head up People Management & HR Operations, People & Organisational Development and HR Recruiting & Employer Branding. He will report directly to Dr. Ulrich Johannwille, CFO and Board Member with responsibility for Human Resources at Deutsche Hospitality.

The new C-level management tier at Deutsche Hospitality makes up a newly formed Executive Committee alongside the Management Board itself and the Divisional Heads of Brand Strategy & Business Innovations, Corporate Communications, Corporate Strategy & Openings, Finance & Accounting and Group Controlling. From now on, the function of the Executive Committee will be to ensure quick decision making and uniform implementation of company strategy.

47-year old Ulrich Bensel joined Deutsche Hospitality as Vice President of Group Human Resources in 2019. He is a fully qualified lawyer who has spent the last 20 years assisting companies and staff in various industries with the organisational development required to make the digital shift. His previous roles included eight years as Group Head of Personnel at Südwestdeutsche Medien Holding and a stint as Head of Human Resources at HUGO BOSS AG, where he directed the operations of departments acting at a global level from the company’s headquarters.
