Confederation of Passenger Transport UK: Golden Boy Coaches to become the first coach operator to achieve CPT’s new Workshop Accreditation

LONDON, 2015-4-13 — /Travel PR News/ — Golden Boy Coaches of Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire have become the first coach operator to achieve CPT’s new and professionally-recognised Workshop Accreditation.

The Accreditation, designed and launched in 2014 by CPT’s Engineering Committee with support from the Traffic Commissioners, assesses bus and coach operators’ workshops, as well as dealer workshops, against a series of in-depth engineering compliance and health & safety based procedures.

Golden Boy’s workshop on Geddings Road was assessed by CPT’s Compliance Partner, Lloyd Morgan Group on a wide range of competences over an intensive two day period during January.

Presenting Geraldine McIntyre and Paul Murdoch of Golden Boy Coaches with their Workshop Accreditation certificate (pic), CPT President, Bill Hiron said:

“It gives me great pleasure to present Golden Boy Coaches with CPT’s Workshop Accreditation – the only industry specific Accreditation that recognises the professional standards available to maintenance providers and ATF’s (Approved Testing Facilities).

“Golden Boy Coaches are currently the only coach operator to hold the status, and it clearly demonstrates the importance they place on ensuring the highest levels of safety and compliance for both staff and passengers.”   Mr Hiron added:

“I offer my congratulations to the small team here who have worked tirelessly and meticulously over the years to ensure that Golden Boy Coaches is worth of this industry status.  And they certainly are.”
