Concession Opportunity Security Checkpoint Mail Service Lease at San Francisco International Airport

SAN FRANCISCO — 2012-10-18 — /travelprnews.com/ — San Francisco International Airport has commenced the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Security Checkpoint Mail Service Lease, and invites interested parties to attend the Informational Conference on October 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at San Francisco International Airport, SFO Business Center, 575 N. McDonnell Road, 2nd Floor, Accounting Conference Room.  This is a time when staff will discuss desired concepts, minimum qualification requirements, address any questions relating to this Lease and receive comments from participants.

This Lease is intended for the tenant to provide a service that allows a passenger to mail items from SFO that would normally be confiscated during the Transportation Security Administration screening process instead of relinquishing the item.

The minimum acceptable proposal amount is $5,000, which will be the successful Proposer’s minimum annual guarantee for the first year of the Lease.  The Lease term is three years with two one-year options, exercisable at the Airport’s sole discretion.  The annual rent shall be the higher of the minimum annual guarantee or 10% of gross revenues.

Additional information and related documents may be obtained on-line at http://www.flysfo.com/web/page/about/b2b/conces/.  For a hard copy of the RFP document or if you would like additional information about this concession opportunity, please call Ron Gonzales at Airport’s Revenue Development and Management, at
