Christi Lewis named Regional Sales Manager Landmark Hotels Group

Honolulu, HI, 2013-06-18 — /travelprnews.com/ — Big Island resident Christi Lewis has been named Regional Sales Manager for Landmark Hotels Group effective May 28, 2013, in an announcement by Landmark Hotels Group’s Vice President of Sales, Danny Breatchel. She will represent both the Kahala Hotel & Resort on O’ahu, and the Makena Beach and Golf Resort at Wailea-Makena, Maui, in the solicitation of group meeting and incentive business in the U.S. Midwest territory. Lewis will report directly to Danny Breatchel with additional reporting responsibility to both The Kahala’s Director of Sales, Roger Bright, and Makena’s Director of Sales, Randy Parker.

“Ms. Lewis joins other recently appointed Regional Sales Managers Keni Sumpter and Roy Butteling to augment our sales team,” says Breatchel, who has been building a stronger sales presence in the group market for The Kahala and Makena Beach and Golf Resort since he was appointed in September 2012. “She expands our team of sales managers and brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to our group sales program.”

Lewis most recently worked as the Director of Regional Group Sales for the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii. Her extensive hospitality industry career has spanned more than two decades and includes positions as Director of Sales and Marketing for Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort in Kona; Regional Director of Group Sales for Starwood Resorts Hawaii; Director of Group Sales for the former Orchid at Mauna Lani; Worldwide Sales Manager for Sheraton Moana Surfrider in Honolulu; and Director of  Convention Services for Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa on Maui. She joined the Dana Point Resort in California on the pre-opening team and served as a room service manager upon graduation from Orange Coast College’s Hotel Administration program. At the Dana Point Resort where she worked from 1987 until 1994, she also held positions as PBX and Reservation Trainer, Front Office and Concierge Manager, Wedding and Convention Sales Manager, and Room Service Manager.

Makena Beach & Golf Resort’s special event facilities range from indoor venues including a 5,200 square foot ballroom and lanai that overlooks the Atrium garden and koi fish ponds, to a variety of spacious outdoor locations offering stunning coastal and Mt.
