Legendary baker and Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver alumni Gerhart Weitzel steps out of retirement to join Pastry Chef Bruno Feldeisen to bake nearly 2,500 of the ultimate traditional Christmas cakes for YEW’s adoring fans. Stollen is now available for purchase from the hostess desk at YEW, priced at CAD 22.00 each. Stollen lovers looking to purchase multiple loaves are encouraged to call ahead to place an order at 604 692 4939.
Festival of Trees – Annual BC Children’s Hospital Fundraiser
The Hotel lobby gets a series dose of Christmas spirit with dozens of Christmas trees each decorated by a sponsor to raise funds and awareness for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, including presenting sponsor Lush Handmade Cosmetics and co-host Cadillac Fairview Corporation.
Now in its 26th year, the Festival of Trees is a sure sign that Christmas is on the way; it also signals the annual Crystal Ball, the premier fundraising gala for child health in British Columbia and one of the most exclusive holiday events in Vancouver.
All trees will be on display in Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Pacific Centre Mall through January 2, 2013 where visitors are welcome to soak up some of the holiday spirit. Visitors can vote for their favourite tree by submitting a donation and entering a draw to win one of three great sponsor prizes.
