Country, Mountain, and Mineral Spas were the most popular spa searches in the USA, with the No. 1 spa for 2020 going for the second year in a row to Sagestone Spa at the popular fresh air, fitness, and hiking-influenced Red Mountain Resort in St. George, Utah.
A total of 35 states were represented from across the country in the Top 100 USA Spas of 2020. California was the most popular destination with 11 spas, followed by New York at 8, Nevada and Pennsylvania at 6 spas, and Colorado and Florida rounded out the top five, with 5 spas in the top 100.
“2020 was a difficult year with many spas been forced to close, reduce staff and operate at a reduced capacity,” says Spas of America president Craig Oliver. “On the bright side, we are seeing growing interest from consumers searching for relaxation, mental health, wellness, and escape. We anticipate the demand to travel will be great once it is safe to do so.”
