Budapest Airport becomes an IATA regional training partner

BUDAPEST, Hungary, 2018-Apr-17 — /Travel PR News/ — Budapest Airport (BUD) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the largest trade association of the world’s airlines, have concluded a partnership agreement. As part of the cooperation, BUD has become an IATA “regional training partner”, which means that some of the international trainings organized by IATA can be held in the Hungarian capital, at Budapest Airport.

Budapest has been added to the map of the world’s most important aviation training centers.

The trainings offered by the International Air Transport Association are regarded as a benchmark in aviation and cover the full spectrum of the industry. Thus, there is global demand for these highly appreciated and recognized trainings. There are only a few regional training partners operating in Europe; Budapest has joined an elite club which also includes Frankfurt, Athens, Moscow, Riga and Istanbul.

The IATA training partnership means that already this year, Budapest Airport will host a number of high-level training courses over several days; a three-day crisis management simulation training in June, a five-day security management course in September and a three-day air cargo handling training in October.

Experiences show that participants are willing to travel from all over Europe and in some cases even from other continents for such courses. József Takács, head of strategic HR development for Budapest Airport said that in some areas, IATA trains several hundred specialists in its accredited training centers operating worldwide. Budapest has become the sixth location in Europe to offer such courses, thus enhancing the role of the Hungarian capital in the development of international aviation.
