Bristol Airport launches new service for group travellers

2012-11-19 — /travelprnews.com/ — Bristol Airport is launching a personalised service for group travellers, aimed at getting their journeys off to a great start. Occasions will cater for couples and groups looking to relax and enjoy refreshments in the terminal before boarding their flight.

Whether travelling as part of a business delegation, school trip, stag or hen party, or a romantic break, passengers can take advantage of the new service which is available free of charge.

A dedicated events coordinator provided by SSP, the Food Travel Experts, will tailor the airport experience to each group’s specific requirements, whether that means a secluded setting or an area suitable for children. Available locations include the lively Bar Zero9, Dexters Chargrill restaurant, Wine & Deli, Burger King and Soho Coffee.

Other services available as part of the Occasions package include pre-ordering currency, and purchases from duty free and Dixons Travel delivered to your table.

Tom Hack, Retail Manager at Bristol Airport, said:
“When you are travelling with a group it can be stressful trying to find the best place in the terminal to relax before your flight. Whatever the occasion, our events coordinator can advise on the most suitable venue and make sure everything you need is on hand.”

Occasions will be run in association with Bristol Airport’s catering business partner, SSP. Customers can find out more by emailing occasions@bristolairport.com.

The launch of Occasions follows the introduction of innovative technology enabling customers in Bristol Airport’s bars and restaurants to order food and drink from their smartphone. The QikServe® app enables passengers to avoid any queues at the bar and resist any temptation to leave bags unattended.
