EDG’s initial design concept was inspired by the glamour of Budapest and the world renowned Gresham Palace, with a culinary point of view. The kitchen is highly interactive with cooking, prepping and service on display – inviting guests to be a part of the food experience. Patisserie, rotisserie and grill elements are detailed with care and the central bar is the latest watering hole in this vibrant city. The Gresham Palace sets the stage with its storied Art Nouveau architecture, and KOLLÁZS – Brasserie and Bar provides a contemporary European brasserie experience that is open to the street in a landmark Budapest location, overlooking the Chain Bridge and the Danube River.
The Hungarian word for “collage,” KOLLÁZS highlights creative combinations in all aspects of the dining experience. To contrast the historic interior, the artwork on display is contemporary, featuring regularly changing shows curated by the international photo gallery, LUMAS Budapest.
